Mission

Auditrax exists to give Chief Audit Executives, Chief Risk Officers and Chief Compliance Officers the same operational visibility that engineering and finance leaders have had for a decade. Audit and risk should not be the only enterprise function still running on quarterly cycles, hand-scoped samples and PDFs delivered three months after the event. We are building the assurance layer that every regulated organisation will run on by 2030.

Vision

A world where every material control across every regulated organisation is tested continuously, every risk is scored on live data, every obligation is mapped end-to-end, and every recommendation an audit team gives the board can be traced back to a transaction, a log line or a control test — with full explainability of every AI-generated insight in between.

Founding story

Auditrax was founded after our team spent more than a decade inside the audit, risk and compliance functions of Tier-1 African and European banks, telcos and government ministries. We saw the same pattern everywhere: brilliant senior auditors spending 70% of their time pulling samples in Excel, chasing evidence on email, and reformatting tables for board packs. The remaining 30% — actual professional judgement — was where the real value lived, and it was being crushed by the cycle.

At the same time, the regulatory surface area was exploding. CBK prudential guidelines, EBA outsourcing rules, GDPR, the Kenya Data Protection Act, NDPR in Nigeria, POPIA in South Africa, the EU AI Act, DORA, Basel III/IV updates, ISO 27001:2022, NIST CSF 2.0 — every quarter brought new obligations and no new headcount. Continuous assurance stopped being a nice-to-have and became the only mathematically viable model.

We started Auditrax to close that gap with three convictions: (1) continuous monitoring beats periodic sampling on every dimension that matters; (2) AI must be explainable, auditable and human-in-the-loop by default — not a black box bolted onto the side; and (3) the platform must meet customers where they already live (SAP, Oracle, Workday, the core banking system) rather than ask them to migrate.

Evidence over opinion

Every finding, every risk score and every AI Insights recommendation in Auditrax is traceable to the underlying transaction, log line, control test or evidence file. If we cannot show the source, we do not show the conclusion.

Assurance as code

Control tests are version-controlled, peer-reviewed and re-runnable. The audit function should ship to production the way modern engineering teams do — with reviews, releases and rollbacks — not via static PDFs that go stale the day they're signed.

AI with a paper trail

Auditrax ships with an AI governance layer that logs every prompt, every model version, every human override and every output. Built to satisfy the EU AI Act, the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and ISO/IEC 42001:2023 out of the box.
